Will these stay on my kid?

That's the whole reason L-Bow exists. The gauntlet pulls over the coat sleeve and reaches above the elbow, and the soft, flexible cuff holds there without strings, clips, or cinches to fight with.

What size should I get?

Small fits ages 2–4, Medium 4–7, Large 7–14, and X-Large 14–18. If your kid is between sizes, go up, because the gauntlet needs room to fit over a puffy coat sleeve. For babies, infant gear comes in 0–12 months and 12–24 months, and if your baby is close to their first birthday, go with 12–24 so it lasts longer. Which one is warm enough for what we do?

Match the mitten to the day. The Original (70g insulation) covers recess, the bus stop, and backyard snowmen. The Northern (100g) is built for ski slopes, long hikes, and weekend sledding. The Arctic (150–240g) is for all-day skiing, snowmobiling, and hours in deep cold.

Mitten or glove?

For little kids, go with mittens. Fingers together in one pocket stay warmer, and there's no fight over which finger goes where. Gloves start at size Medium (age 4 and up) for kids who need their fingers free for ski poles, sled handles, or snowmobile grips.

Are they waterproof?

Our mittens, gloves, headwear, and infant gear use a waterproof breathable bladder that keeps hands dry through hours of normal winter play. Our Rain-Bow Rain Suits are the exception. Those are fully waterproof, with taped seams and a waterproof zipper.

How do I wash them?

Wash them in cold water and let them air dry. Check the wash tag inside each product for anything specific to that style.

How fast will my order ship?

Orders ship within 1–3 business days.

What if they don't fit or something goes wrong?

You have 30 days to return unused gear in its original condition. If something fails, email info@lbow.com and a real person will answer and make it right.

Where are L-Bows made?

Every product is designed in Waconia, Minnesota, and manufactured overseas.

Did you invent the long mitten?

We did. In 1991, Diane Deering, a Minnesota mom of four, got tired of her kids' mittens falling off. She cut thumb holes in her dad's socks, pulled them over the mittens, and later sewed and patented the first long gauntlet mitten. Every L-Bow still uses her over-the-elbow design.

Is L-Bow still a family business?

Second generation now. Diane's son Kevin and his wife Olivia run the company from Waconia, and Diane's grandkids wear the mittens.
