"I picked up a pair of these mittens from a local store when my son was younger, which he wore for 2 years, and outgrew. I ordered him a new pair, in the larger size, and am still loving these mittens. Before, he would get so frustrated with conventional mittens, as they would always fall off. Now, we don't have to worry about his mittens falling off, or snow getting into the top of them. He stays plenty warm, and dry with these."

The gauntlet goes over the coat sleeve and secures above the elbow, so there's no gap for snow to get in at the wrist and nothing to fall off at the bus stop.
Lake Superior doesn't give. It's deep, cold, and built to outlast everything around it, and this mitten carries that name for a reason. The 150g insulation, upgraded fabric, and heavy-duty elastic gauntlet are built for the coldest, longest days, all-day skiing, ice fishing mornings, and snowmobiling when most people stay inside. This is the warmest mitten L-Bow makes. It's more mitten than a school-day recess needs, and if that's the use, the Original or the Storm does the job. But when the cold is the real thing and the day is long, nothing in the line holds like this. Heavy-duty elastic grips the gauntlet above the elbow from first chair to last run, and a full Sure Grip palm keeps a hold on everything.
Will it fit over a puffy coat sleeve?
Yes, that's what the gauntlet is built for. It goes over the sleeve, not under it. If your kid is between sizes, go up. The gauntlet works best with a little room.
Are these waterproof?
They have a waterproof breathable bladder, so hands stay dry through snow and wet play while the mitten still breathes.
How do I wash them?
Machine wash cold. Dry on low or no heat, or let them air dry overnight.
